It is the season for... more random thoughts.
1. Why do people pass you to only pull in front of you to slow down?
2. I think Facebook is contributing to our own prideful arrogance as it allows us to think we are always right about everything.
3. This whole Duck Dynasty controversy is exposing the level of our collective thought as a nation. Too many people think it is about being against homosexuals or being racist, but if you read the interview, with questions, in its entirety you should arrive at another conclusion. Most people fall into two camps and repeat what they have heard from their respective sides. Can no one respond to a question with a truthful personal narrative anymore?
4. I have concluded that Satan has won the battle of Christmas. It has become so commercialized that most people have forgotten Christ or the idea of giving.
5. If you rake all the leaves in your yard you are only guaranteeing that tomorrow there will be twice as many leaves on the ground as before.
6. The traffic engineers who are responsible for the stop lights should come up with a fourth light... a brighter red that all those drivers speeding through the first red light can see more clearly so the rest of us can safely drive through our green light.
7. Anyone who claims that man's tendency is good has never driven in Christmas traffic.
8. The adage, nice guys finish last, has never been more accurate than it is today.
9. Ignorance has moved beyond bliss into egocentric exuberance.
10. I am stealing this one from Van Allen. I do believe he has come up with a better name for the dirty Santa gift contest. I like his name, the angry Santa gift exchange because, like it or not, someone always goes home angry and disappointed.
Merry Christmas to all! May you and yours embrace the spirit of Christ this Christmas. He is the greatest gift, and it is my prayer that many more come to know Him this Christmas season.

1. Do you think these people were the same children who insisted on always being first in line?
2. Of course it contributes to our arrogance. Our Facebook world can be anything we want it to be.
3 & 9. Political correctness and blatant disregard for truth has helped.
4. NO! Satan has not won! Agreed...Christmas has become too commercialized, but that is the reason for those of us who know Christ to never concede.
5. Don't rake. The leaves will go away on their own...eventually.
6 & 7. Have you been Christmas shopping again?
8. Amen! Same goes for nice girls!
10. Angry Santa...it's true...someone is always disappointed.
I agree with all of your comments with one minor exception. I used the word, "battle" and not war intentionally. We, in Christ, know who wins the war in the end. Amen to that! Have a very Merry Christmas!!
Ahhh...yes. You did use "battle." Glad you pointed that out. Hope your Christmas is full of joy and blessings!
