Well, the midterm elections of 2014 are over. I suspect that you are either elated or dejected, depending on your political aversion. There was no happy medium in this election.
I have some modest observations in regard to this election.
First, it is always good when power moves from one party to the other every 4 - 8 years.
Second, neither party has all the answers. The answers are somewhere in the middle.
Third, government has no idea what the average person needs.
Fourth, before being elected to office, everyone should have to complete a basic accounting course.
Fifth, those who need to be in politics will never enter because of the nature of politics.
Sixth, the election of 2014 produced Alma Adams, the 100th woman elected to congress.
Seventh, those who voted this year were pretty upset.
Eighth, everyone has been affected in one way or another by a stagnate economy.
Ninth, the media, collectively, is no longer a valid source for reliable truthful information, but I have known that for quite sometime. This election just confirmed that.
Tenth, if you think this was like all other elections consider these facts: Massachusetts elected a Republican governor, Illinois incumbent Democratic Governor did not win a single county and the most money every spent by a Democrat in an election resulted in a loss.
Change is good, but one thing is certain... if things do not change as the result of this election, in two years there will be a whole new change to experience. And that election cycle starts... now!
